Overview:

Gujarat National Law University (www.gnlu.ac.in) is pleased to announce that the University in collaboration with the Institute of Air and Space Law, University of Cologne, Germany (the oldest Air Institute of the world), is organizing the second edition of the  GNLU Air and Space Law Academy (GASLA) from 16 to 22 September 2017 at its campus,Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The 2017 Edition will also include a two day seminar on the major theme of “50 Years of the Outer Space Treaty”.The University also takes pride in apprising you that the Air Chief Marshal, Indian Air Force and the Chairman of the Airports Authority of India have given their kind consent to be the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively for the Inaugural ceremony of the Academy.

About the Academy:

The first edition was organised last year in collaboration with the Institute of Air & Space Law, University of Cologne and the Forum for Integrated National Security. It witnessed encouraging participation from Indian Air Force (IAF), Airports Authority of India (AAI), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and various academic and research institutions interested in the field of Air and Space Law at the international as well as national level.

Inspired by the success of the first edition, the 2017 Academy intends to enhance the dissemination of information and attract participation across globe.Spread over a full-week of intensive discussions, lectures and workshops, the Academy will focus on major themes of latest issues in Air & Space Law.

2017 Edition faculty will be drawn from various major aviation and space faring nations of the world and India. The participants will be mainly from legislative and regulatory Authorities; Air Force officials; space agencies and organisations; Foreign and Indian Aviation Industry Associations; National Security Authorities; International organizations; Private and Public Capacity-building Institutions; Faculties, Researchers and Fellow Students from various countries.

Participation Fees:
