Geeta Institute of Law has organised a workshop on Intellectual Property Right titled “Intellectual Propert Awarwness Workshop” in association with the Trayambak Overseases Pvt Ltd, Noida Pertaining to Intellectual Propert right. The director of the firm namely Ms. Isha Sharma addressed the workshop and provide the students with adequate training and and information pertaining to the Intellectual Propery Rights.
The main objective of the workshop was to creat understanding among students related to the intellectual propert. This workshop started with an opening session elucidating the purpose of IP, and giving an overview on the most important IPRs, such as, patents, trademarks and trade names, designs, copyright, etc. Illustrative examples discussed was explain the various intellectual property rights issues.
There was an important session that specifically focus for patents (protecting technical inventions), including topics such as the patentability criteria, the contents of a patent application, how patents can be exploited, is also proposed. All these topics were accompanied with illustrative examples. Furthermore, the participants get an introduction to claim interpretation, drafting, overview on searching patent literature, and Do’s and Don’ts again accompanied by illustrative examples.
Ms. Isha Sharma in her lecture explains the meaning of Intellectual Property and how this property can be protected. She said that Intellectual property is the value given to the tangible expression of intangible idea created by the human mind, it helps to promote innovations.. She said that intellectul Property is the creation of mind which means something which come out of your mind and when you convert this idea into a tangible product , you have two options; first you can let anybody use it, its free for all and the Second option is that you protect your idea and what you created with your hardwork. She explains the kind of Intellectual Property Right like copyright, petant, trademark ect. Intellectual property helps you to promote innovation. She explains the kind of intellectual property right. Students come to know about the field of intellectual property. She talks on the importance of intellectual property right.
Students take part in the workshop and learn about the concepts of intellectual property and importance of it and what are the career prospects in the field of intellectual property, criterial for patentable subject matter, understanding procedure of patent searching , patent drafting and filling applications, IP agreements, IP valuation, government aid in IP filling for inventors and start up and other various concepts which comes under Intellectual Property.
The director Ms. Isha Sharma was given a vote of thanks to organise sach a workshop on Intellectual Property in which students was provided with adequate training and information pertaining to Intellectual Property Right.
