We are pleased to announce the 1st Youth Essay Writing Competition, 2017. The competition is an excellent opportunity for students to express their viewpoints on various contemporary issues.
Yuveshna is a group of young enthusiasts that is working for the betterment of the society in every aspect and to make it better for women and children. The meaning of Yuveshna is “The Youth’s Desire”, so we want the youth to contribute towards the betterment of the society by bringing out their writing skills and expressing their views on various issues and also the recommendations & suggestion to make the society better. This competition is open to all interested students who have zeal to write. So, all the best students.
Publications
The best part of this competition is that 3 of the best essays will get published on our website and in newsletter. This is an opportunity to express your view point which will not only develop your writing skill but also enhance your knowledge. A Certificate of appreciation will be sent to every participant via E-mail.

Registration
Fees: Rs. 300 for single author and Rs. 300 for Co-authors (if any).
Mode of Payment: Registration Fees should be preferably paid online via Paytm on 7011514705 or through a DD in favour of Yuveshna payable at Delhi.
The participants must submit the duly filled registration form via Google Form after making Payment and don’t forget to mention the transaction Id.
A confirmation mail will be sent on approval of registration.
Important Dates
Last Date of Registration along with payment is 1st October, 2017.
Last date for essay submission is 15th October, 2017.
Results will be declared on 31st October, 2017.
Formatting and Rules
Word Limit: 1500-2500 words. Marks will be deducted for violation of the word limit. No plagiarism should be there.
The identity of the student or the college, university, institution, etc., should not be revealed in the text of the essay in any manner whatsoever.
The essay must contain proper footnotes mentioning details of authorities used and the formatting should be according to the Blue Book latest edition.
Participants must adhere to the following formatting requirements:
Font – Times New Roman; Font Size – 12
Line Spacing – 1.5; Alignment – Justified
Footnote Font Size – 10; Footnote Spacing – 1
Submission Rules
A copy should be e-mailed to yuveshna16@gmail.com
Each entry shall be enclosed with a cover letter, mentioning the name of the participant, college name, course and year.
All the contact details and transaction Id should also be mentioned on the cover letter containing email id, mobile number and address.
Scoring of the Essay
While assessing the documents the weightage would be given as below:
Originality and clarity of the content.
Quality of the analysis and research.
Language and Structure of the essay.
Grammar, syntax and form.
Copyrights
Yuveshna exercise complete right over all the submissions.
Yuveshna shall be free to use the information/ views therein in any manner it requires.
Yuveshna shall not be responsible for any essay(s) not received. No essay shall be entertained if received after the deadline.
Decision of Yuveshna is final in every manner and should be binding on all.
Note
Essays incompatible with the above rules and conditions will not be considered.
Submission of entries to the competition implies acceptance of the above terms and conditions by the participant(s).
