The XIII LC1-ALL DELHI (NCR) Moot Court Competition, 2017 under the auspices of the Moot Court Society, Law Centre-I will be held on 19 February 2017, at Moot Court Hall, Faculty of Law (New Building), University of Delhi.

  • Release of Problem December 17/18 2016
  • Last date of Provisional Registration January 5 2017
  • Last date of Final Registration in soft copy Payment of Demand Draft Sending soft copy of demand draft January 15 2017
  • Last date of submission of hard copies of Registration form & Demand draft January 20 2017 (Till 5.00 PM)
  • Last date for seeking Clarifications January 20 2017
  • Release of answers to Clarifications January 24 2017
  • Memo Submission (Soft Copy) February 5 2017
  • Memo Submission (Hard Copy) February 10 2017
  • Date of Competition February 19 2017

ELIGIBILITY:

The Competition is open for students currently pursuing their Bachelors’ degree in Law either under three year stream or five year stream in institutions imparting Legal Education situate in Delhi and NCR region.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

  • Each team shall comprise of two speakers, who may be accompanied by one researcher, all of whom shall have to be accordingly designated during the registration process.
  • The names of the speakers and researcher shall not be allowed to be changed after 15 January, 2017.

REPORTING FOR COMPETITION:

  • The participants are required to arrive at the venue of the Competition (Moot Court Hall, Law Centre 1, New Building, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi) on 19 February 2017 at 8-30 AM for registration, draw of lots and exchange of memos.
  • All the participants are required to carry their College/University Identity Cards at the time of registration and at all times during the competition.

REGISTRATION:

  • Provisional registration from the participating teams should reach us by 5 January 2017 through e-mail at ncr2017.lc1@gmail.com with subject title “Provisional Registration”.
  • Final registration from the participating teams should reach us in soft copy latest by 15 January 2017 through e-mail at ncr2017.lc1@gmail.com with subject title “Final registration”
  • Teams are required to pay the registration fee of Rs. 2000/- in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, University of Delhi latest by 15 January 2017 and send the scanned copy of the demand draft (along with scanned copy of the final registration form) latest by 15 January 2017 through email at ncr2017.lc1@gmail.com with subject title “Demand Draft”
  • The hard copy of the registration form and demand draft in original are required to reach us latest by 20 January 2017 (Till 7.00 PM)

TEAM CODE:

  • Team codes will be intimated to the participants via e-mail once the registration forms of the participating teams have been received by the organizers.

AWARDS:

  • Best Team Award – Cash Prize Rs. 8000
  • Runner UP Team — Cash Prize Rs. 5000
  • Best Speaker ——– Cash Prize Rs. 3000
  • Best Memorial ——-Cash Prize Rs. 3000

Best speaker prize will be decided on the basis of highest marks scored by a participant in the preliminary round. All participants will be awarded participation certificates.

CLARIFICATIONS:

  • Participating teams may seek clarifications on the moot problem via e-mail to ncr2017.lc1@gmail.com, copy marking to Thulasidhass@gmail.com with subject title ‘Proposition Clarification’. The last date for seeking any such clarification is 20 January 2017. The same shall be responded by us by 24 January 2017.
  • Any other clarification regarding registration/submission of memorials can be mailed at ncr2017.lc1@gmail.com with subject title “Other clarifications”, a copy marking to swati.solanki89@gmail.com
