INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
LawOF: Sir, as being a law teacher, how would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: I am Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav, HOD, Department of Law, Jagan Nath University, Haryana & Chief Editor of Plebs Journal of Law
LawOF: What inspired you to join law, were you able to satisfy yourself inspiration.
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Law is related to every citizens and it is well established that “Ignorance of Law is not an excuse” but it hurt us if anything wrong happens in the society in form of riot, affray or any offence even appointment of less eligible candidates etc. It seems society is lawless and there is need of effective mechanism.
LawOF: How was your law school journey?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: In 2005, I passed my law. I was not a extraordinary student and it was as similar to average student but in modern times in the competitive world LL.B. student is supposed to work had as a researcher does, in form of moot researcher, presenter. He has to write research papers to enrich his/ her resume. Previously LL.B. students were used to participate in moot courts optionally and now it is mandatory part of course curriculum. Many compulsory papers have been added. Mid-term was not there and now students are not supposed to sit as at the time of annual scheme. As LawOf student, teacher platform and similar websites have been emerged, not more than 10 in numbers have given opportunity to them to fly, to participate in seminar/ conferences, to research and alike activities.
LawOF: What are the opportunities that are open today to Law Teachers? How does one grow in this noble profession?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Only perseverance/ constant efforts can help a teacher to come out the struggling phase. UGC-NET & Ph.D. degree is essential for a Law teacher. Government colleges are a few in Rajasthan & Maharastra and maybe a few in other states. University vacancies are also in less in numbers. Political interference is at large level. So a teacher has to gain experience in Private Law Colleges/ Universities and they prefer the experienced teacher. So keep writing research papers with the help of Law commission of India reports. It will show your hard work to the recruiters and will be helpful to get the job at every level.
LawOF: What’s the best thing about your job?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Endless opportunity to work and achieving heights.
LawOF: Sir, according to you what is the importance of Mooting, Publication and Internships in a law student life?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: It will help to add a habit that everything can be done easily, whether you work as an advocate, as a teacher, as an editor or everywhere you visit the recruiter it helps to learn and expressing your skills.
LawOF: Did you face problems in taking up law teaching as a profession and how did you cope up with all this?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Yes, problems are the part of every job but we are supposed to learn from problems and if we will consider then as an impediment and stop working it will harm our growth so we have to move ahead by writing research papers and preparing Law lectures and reading Law Commission of India and update knowledge helps us to keep us ahead.
LawOF: What is the one thing that keeps you going?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Our efforts help to gain praise and in ignoring the criticism so my hard work is the only thing to keep me going/ moving ahead. It’s true in start we feel that we should start practising or change the job but only working in particular direction helps.
LawOF: Law profession demands a lot of attention and determination and also sleepless nights, what are those thoughts, the ideas which you had in the initial days of your struggle which never let you sleep?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: I praise you that you added a word sleepless nights it shows you have also worked hard and who asks questions is considered as intelligent one.
I agree we have to ignore all what attracts us, we have to give our time to studies when rain is outside and when you feel that it is time to sleep but we have to make it sleepless night because you are completing the task. My student also say that they have not taken nab since three days when they prepare for moot court problems. I am amazed with their determination to come out from the main stream.
LawOF: The best experience and a success habit you would like to share as a student for our readers that would encourage them.
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: In 2008, I started teaching and in 2015 started Plebs Journal of Law. It became feasible and tenable, when I used to write papers had to wait for publishing even for 3-4 months for editorial, referral board. So, I consider my writing habit is a success habit I would like to share as a teacher for the new entrants to encourage them. Result may be late but have to move ahead with interest and likings as an artist in any particular field achieves.
LawOF: What would you suggest for the students who are new to the law profession and those who are graduating?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Visit LawOf regulary and similar websites to explore that what you (New entrants/ Law students) can choose as a habit
LawOF: How do you measure the success of any person in their career?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: I measure the success of any person in their career except his/ her salary their eminence in their field where he/ she works as a teacher advocate. Their work may help the future generations to motivate and work in a particular direction.
LawOF: What according to you should be the prime concern for law students?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Law students should enrich their Vocabulary, writing, communication and research skills.
LawOF: What would be your message to the Law students to encourage them and to grow them in their personal as well as professional lives?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: My message is that your success will be added success of your teachers and if you fail your teacher fails even from your start to the present. This is not to demoralise it is to work toward success and a good teacher will expect form you to succeed only.
LawOF: Please share the golden rules of your life which brought you here so that the students can gain from the useful insight and can be inspired by you.
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: The golden rule about education and my life is to do something meaningful everyday in a particular direction or a few law topics, few legal words will help you to make you different form the other students.
LawOF: In this long career when did you consider yourself a success?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: Yes, experience is a biggest degree and my experience is my earning. So we are required to respect our seniors. This is the only principle of the world education system that an experienced teacher is appointed as Principal, Head of the Department, Dean, Associate Professor, Professor, Vice-Chancellor and alike key positions.
LawOF: What’s the best way for a student to get to know you?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: A student can search about a teacher on search engines if he/ she has participated, appointed at various places he will be there as a part of many websites. His research may be read on ssrn and plebsindia.org/ in students can know about me. I am among top 3000 Law authors there on SSRN (Worlds pioneer e repository).
LawOF: Any suggestions or comments for the students?
Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: My suggestion is to take the things seriously. If we take the things lightly the things and world take us lightly.

Dr. Raj Kumar Yadav: LawOf is a platform which is giving opportunity to students and teachers to know about updates of the world, I wish LawOf to come out as international platform in the area of Law.
